Join local birder Laura for a beautiful morning stroll as you discover birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and plants.

This walk will be at a slow birding speed, and is open to all park visitors and all experience levels. The walk will start at 9:00am and typically ends at noon once we reach the Pond. Please meet at the Bird Blind in the overflow parking lot. The trail is about one mile from the Bird Blind to the Pond.

There is not a restroom or water fountain at the Bird Blind, so please plan accordingly and fill up your water in advance. The nearest restroom and water fountain will be in the larger day use parking lot. There is a toilet at the Pond, but no water.

Stick around afterwards for an optional iNaturalist and Seek training! These apps can help you identify plants and animals. Please have them installed on your phone before arriving, since there is no cell service in the natural area.

Bring plenty of water, comfortable hiking shoes, your binoculars, and your curiosity. Please do not bring any dogs except for service dogs.
