Bevilport 9-Mile Guided Paddle Trip

Calling experienced paddlers to discover local history and explore the Angelina-Neches Forks.

Paddle 9 miles along the Angelina and Neches rivers, launching from Bevilport and taking out at the Martin Dies, Jr. State Park boat ramp.

Explore the beauty where the Angelina and Neches rivers meet. Discover local history and the development of this area. We'll learn about the effects of steam boats on the river, and the influence of logging in East Texas. This adventure will experience the sparkling open water of the rivers, and a mysterious journey into swampy sloughs.

This program is for adults only. Participants must be experienced paddlers, bring their own equipment, and arrange for their own shuttle. Boat rental is not available for this trip. Once under way there is no option to turn around or to travel a shorter route. If an emergency arises, participants can call 911 for rescue.

This program has limited capacity, registration is required. Participants must agree to program rules and expectations to be eligible for participation. Contact Ranger Katy to register for this program.

This program is weather dependent and may be cancelled in inclement weather.
