Martin Dies, Jr. State Park Map

To reach the park from U.S. Highway 69, travel 17 miles east from Woodville on U.S. Highway 190. From U.S. Highway 96, travel 12 miles west from Jasper on U.S. Highway 190. Or from Houston, take U.S. Highway 59 north to Livingston, and then travel east on U.S. Highway 190 for 65 miles to the park via Park Road 48.

U.S. Highway 190 construction projects underway.

The U.S. Highway190 relief bridge project just west of Martin Dies Jr. State Park begins on Nov. 4, 2015 and will take about a year. Most work will take place during the day Monday through Friday; with weekend and night work possible. The road will be reduced to one lane.

A separate project will widen U.S. 190 between Jasper and the state park.

Consider accessing the park from the east to avoid lane closures. Highway 96 runs north and south through Jasper and may be the best route from I-10, Highway 63 or RR 255 to the north. Contact the park for the latest information.
