“Homeschool Classes” are educational field trip style lessons, only open to homeschool families. Open posting to view program description.

Food, water, shelter, space - that's what makes a good habitat! Join us as we explore all about local animals and their habitats. We'll get outside and practice looking closely for signs of animals. We'll consider what animals need to make a good home. Then, we'll practice building a habitat of our very own!

This class has limited capacity and requires RSVP to attend. Registration opens Jan. 9, 2024.

How to RSVP: email Ranger Katy and include - class name, phone number, number of students, student ages. You will receive an email confirmation, it may take up to a week to respond to your request.

Please arrive at the park about 15 minutes before your program. This will give you time to check in at Headquarters (Hen House Ridge Unit/Unit on the south side of the highway) and pick up your day-use permit.

Entrance fees are waived for RSVP’d participants, permits are still required.

After check-in, meet at Education Center (Walnut Ridge Unit) to group up. We may travel to additional locations.

Please note - this is an outdoor based program. Participants should be dressed appropriately for the weather. In the instance of inclement weather, this class will be cancelled.
