Homeschool Class: Log Dissection
Tue, October 15, 2024
"Homeschool Classes” are educational field trip style lessons, only open homeschool families. Open posting to view program description.
We'll work together to identify the FBI – fungi, bacteria, and invertebrates that serve as very important decomposers. We'll use simple tools and safe lab procedures to discover all about decomposers as we dissect a rotten log.
This program has limited capacity and requires RSVP to attend.
How to RSVP: email Ranger Katy and include - class name, phone number, number of students, student ages. You will receive an email confirmation, it may take up to a week to respond to your request.
Please arrive at the park about 10 minutes before your program. This will give you time to check in at Headquarters (Hen House Ridge Unit/Unit on the south side of the highway) and pick up your day-use permit.
Entrance fees are waived for RSVP’d participants, permits are still required.
After check-in, meet at Education Center (Walnut Ridge Unit) to group up. We may travel to additional locations.
