Lake Dip Netting

Use our long handled dip nets to investigate the tiny creatures that live in Steinhagen Lake!

Bring your curiosity and sense of adventure! We’ll use our dip nets to take samples from the lake and discover all about the teeny tiny creatures that live here. 

When: 10am

Where: Meet at Walnut Slough Day-use Area in the Walnut Ridge Unit.

Cost: Entrance to the park requires the purchase of a $4 day pass or a Texas State Park Pass. Children 12 and under are free.

Reminder: There are no restrooms near the day use area so plan accordingly. This program is weather dependent and may be canceled if conditions are unfavorable.
