Bird Watching at Observation Bridge

Visit the Observation Bridge for a chance to use our spotting scope and discover the many birds living along the lake!

Have you ever wondered what you might find on the other side of the lake? Join us to explore the horizon line and discover just what's out there. Bring your own binoculars and add to the watch. 

When: 9am

Where: Observation Bridge at the Walnut Slough Day Use Area located in the Walnut Ridge unit.

Cost: This event is free with the purchase of a $4 Day Pass or a Texas State Park Pass.

Reminder: There are no restrooms near the Walnut Slough Day Use Area so plan accordingly. This program is weather dependent and may be canceled if conditions are unfavorable.
