Summer Discovery Series: Sounds of Nature
Sat, July 22, 2023
Discover the glorious sounds of nature on this adventure!
The sounds of nature are all around us, you just have to give them a moment to hear. Even noisy groups can quiet and discover the many sounds of the forest. In this program we’ll practice sound mapping, a listening technique that explores the diversity of sounds in any location. Then, we’ll explore how local wildlife produces different sounds. We’ll wrap up with a reflection of our experience, writing original nature poetry.
This program is suitable for all ages and includes a 1-1.5 mile hike.
This program has a limited capacity. You can call to RSVP for the program, otherwise it is filled on a first come, first serve basis.
