Learn about the Civilian Conservation Corps and how they built Mother Neff State Park and even build your own table!
It takes a lot of work to build a state park, and ninety years ago a group of young men with the Civilian Conservation Corps built the infrastructure and the iconic features of Mother Neff State Park. Learn about why the CCC was created, the tools they used, the kind of structures they would build, and to top it off, build your very own miniature table to take home!
Meet: Inside the Visitor Center
Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. Day passes can be purchased ahead of time on our website.
Accessibility: This program takes place inside on level ground that is suitable for wheelchair users and visitors with limited mobility. Accessible parking is located close to the program area for easy access.
