Take an up-close look at the sun through a special telescope as you explore the awesome power of our star.
You see it almost every day, but just how far away is the sun from us? And how do solar eclipses work? Find out the answer to these questions and even more at this fun event where we explore the world's favorite star using a solar telescope.
There will be a short lesson beginning at 10am, but feel free to come late to just look at the sun through our telescope!
Never look at the sun without special equipment!
Meet: At the visitor center.
Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. Day passes can be purchased ahead of time on our website.
EVENT MAY BE CANCELLED DUE TO INCLIMENT WEATHER.
