Self-guided First Day Hike

Hike our trails at your own pace! Instructions to take a 0.5 mile or 3 mile hike found here.
Be sure to bring lots of water and good hiking shoes!
Short 0.5-mile hike - Start at the Ottine Swamp Trail entrance by the Refectory, then take a left on Park Rd 11 to get to the interpretive trail.
Three Mile Hike - Start at the Ottine Swamp Trail, then turn right onto the Mesquite Flats trail, then turn right onto the San Marcos River Trail. Each of the three trails will add up to about three miles.
