Windmill Trail Hike (Guided) Enjoy the short but scenic Windmill Trail with a park interpreter for a family and kid friendly guided nature hike. This slow and easy hike takes about 30 minutes (1/3 of a mile) and is a great option for families with younger children. Hikes will depart the Headquarters Building every 30 minutes, beginning at 9:30 a.m. until noon.
Canyon Rim to Presa Canyon Overlook-Short Loop (Unguided) Enjoy beautiful canyon views along the first section of the Canyon Rim Trail leading to the views of the confluence of Seminole Canyon and Presa Canyon. This is a moderately challenging 3.3 mile hike (round trip), requiring hiker to travel over uneven and loose, rocky surfaces. This trail travels along the canyon rim, with steep and dangerous drop-offs and may not be appropriate for younger children.
Canyon Rim-Long Loop (Unguided) Enjoy the beautiful canyon views along the entire length of the Canyon Rim Trail, to the southern boundary of the park, with views of Panther Cave Overlook and the Rio Grande.
