Parks and marinas provide provide campgrounds, beaches, picnic areas, boat ramps, and opportunities for shoreline fishing. Texas Parks and Wildlife Department operates Cedar Hill State Park on the east side of the lake. The City of Grand Prairie operates two large parks on the west side and a smaller facility on the Mountain Creek arm at the south end of the reservoir.

Cedar Hill State Park
- From 1 20 go south on FM 1382. Park entrance is on the west side of the road.
- North ramp has 6 lanes with parking for approximately 175 vehicles. South ramp has 2 lanes with parking for approximately 150 vehicles. The south ramp has some siltation issues. If launching a larger boat, use the north ramp.
- Park entrance fee required

Britton Park
- From Hwy 287 in Mansfield go east on Broad St. E to Day Miar N turn south, the road changes to Seeton E and the park is on the east side of the road
- Single-lane ramp with parking for 25 vehicles

Loyd Park
- From I 20 take Hwy 360 south; turn east on Ragland
- Four-lane ramp with parking for 35 vehicles

Lynn Creek Marina
- From I 20 go south on Great Southwest Parkway and west on Lake Ridge Parkway. The marina is on the north side of the road just before the bridge over the lake.
- Two-lane ramp with parking for 50 vehicles
