Stamford Reservoir

Locations of Fish Attractors

Return to Stamford Reservoir fishing page

Working with the Still Waters Bass Club and the City of Stamford, TPWD staff used recycled Christmas trees to create fish attracting structure at 15 locations around the lake. Tree piles are located at depths of 13 to 23 feet. Coordinates are listed below and available for download. A printable map is also available.

Still Waters Bass Club is a local Friends of Reservoirs chapter that has worked with TPWD's Abilene fisheries office on other projects. Materials for Stamford Reservoir were donated by Featherlite, Home Depot-Abilene, Lowe's-Abilene, and City of Abilene Recycling Center.
