The Waco Inland Fisheries District built and deployed three freshwater reefs and each was comprised of 5 rectangular PVC fish habitat structures. One reef was placed near shore in Koehne Park, another was placed mid-reservoir, near shore in the Island Cove, and the last one was placed near shore in the Lakeshore Drive Cove. These three reefs were placed during October 2021 to help attract and hold sportfish for anglers, and are currently the only freshwater reefs that have been deployed in Lake Waco. A map and coordinates are listed below. Coordinates are also available in downloadable files.
