Striped Mullet
Mugil cephalus
One look at striped mullet's tiny mouths will tell you these fish probably eat something small. In fact, they suck in mud and water, straining out tiny bits of food.
Striped mullet eat like this anywhere they can find food, from major freshwater rivers in Texas to far out in the Gulf of Mexico.
