Red Sea Urchin
Arbacia punctulata
Red sea urchins lurk in crevices during the day, coming out of the rockwork after dark to feed. They move with their spines and tube feet, small sucker-tipped stalks that help urchins hold on to the rocks.
To keep from being crushed by waves, sea urchin bodies are surrounded by a sturdy skeleton called a test.
