Pearly Red Encrusting Bryozoan
Steginoporella magnilabris
Pearly red encrusting bryozoans grow in colonies around the base of coral heads and under ledges. The colonies, no larger than the palm of your hand, consist of many individual animals. Each tiny animal is surrounded by a boxlike bodywall made of the same material as shells.
