Adult Supervisor (at least 18 years old) required. White-tailed deer are the primary species inhabiting the area. Feral hogs and exotics are very limited in number. A mandatory orientation will be held at noon on Friday. The hunt will begin immediately following the orientation. Hunters and supervisors will be taken to assigned blinds by Forest Service and TPWD staff. Blinds are placed in a safe location and cannot be moved or repositioned. Walking in the unit area is strictly prohibited. All hunters and supervisors must wear a minimum of 400 square inches of fluorescent orange material covering the chest and back and orange headwear. All harvested animals must be checked in no later than noon on Sunday. Standbys may be available. Standbys must be present and registered by 2:55 p.m. on the day of the hunt. Standbys will be drawn on the first day of the hunt at 3 p.m. followed by a mandatory orientation and blind assignment. Individuals not drawn must leave the hunt area immediately following the standby drawing.
