White-tailed deer are the primary species inhabiting the area. Mule deer and feral hogs are very limited in number. Hunters and supervisors will be taken to assigned blinds by Forest Service and TPWD staff. Blinds are placed in a safe location and cannot be moved or repositioned. Walking in the unit area is strictly prohibited. A mandatory orientation will be held at noon on Friday. The hunt will begin immediately following the orientation. All hunters and supervisors must wear a minimum of 400 square inches of fluorescent orange material covering the chest and back and orange headwear.
