General Access
The Mission Lake and the Hynes Bay Units can be accessed for organized group tours. A conservation scientist conducts scheduled hikes into the units and points out topics of interest. A two mile section of the county road, River Road, on the Guadalupe River Unit allows visitors on the area near the river if the weather conditions are favorable.
During hunting season the Guadalupe Delta WMA units allow hunters access with valid permits and fees. The Mission Lake Unit has several designated public hunting roads which are signed and guide you to parking areas for numbered hunting sites. Mowed paths and reflective stakes lead you to hunting areas and show you where to set up. The Guadalupe River Unit, and the Hynes Bay Unit have limited access points. The San Antonio Unit is closed at all times. Access to and from the San Antonio Unit requires department escort.
Permits Required
Visitors 17 years of age and older must possess an Annual Public Hunting (APH) Permit and the Limited Public Use (LPU) Permit.
