ARRP-1 - Aquatic Resource Relocation Requirements
This protocol establishes coordination requirements between Scientific Research Permit holders and other Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) divisions for aquatic resource relocation activities. Permit holders remain responsible for obtaining all required authorizations from appropriate agencies.

Protocol Requirements
KAST Coordination and Approval
- Condition ARRP-1.1
The permit holder shall coordinate with the TPWD Kills and Spills Team (KAST) at least thirty (30) days prior to any relocation activities and shall obtain written Aquatic Resource Relocation Requirements (ARRP) approval before initiating field work. - Condition ARRP-1.2
The permit holder shall follow exclusively the survey and relocation methods, locations and timelines specified in the TPWD-approved ARRP.
Required Permits
- Condition ARRP-1.3
The permit holder shall obtain a valid Permit to Introduce Fish, Shellfish or Aquatic Plants into Public Waters (INTRO) from TPWD Inland or Coastal Fisheries Division prior to relocating any aquatic resources.
Field Compliance and Documentation
- Condition ARRP-1.4
The permit holder shall maintain physical or electronic copies of current, valid INTRO and ARRP authorizations at the project site during all relocation activities and shall not relocate any aquatic resources without these authorizations for the specific project location and activities.
