Dip Into Texas Waters

This educational trunk will help the formal or informal educator and students of all ages learn about:

  • water basics
  • the role and function of water in Texas by exploring aquatic ecosystems, including the plants and animals associated with these habitats
  • water conservation and stewardship

Using:

  • activities designed to be used inside, outside and may include field investigations
  • variety of fun, hands-on activities and resources
  • background information for the teacher/leader
  • field equipment
  • posters, CDs and DVDs are also included
  • may be used individually or to supplement existing programs and curriculum

The resource section of the handbook includes:

  • Maps
  • River and Aquifer Information
  • children’s reading list
  • instructions on how to build hydrogeology models and rain barrels.
