BOATER ADVISORY: Zebra mussels have invaded this reservoir! CLEAN, DRAIN AND DRY your boat, trailer, livewells/bait buckets, and other gear before traveling to another water body. Draining water is required by law and possession and transport of zebra mussels is illegal.
Several public and private boat ramps are available. Shore fishing is good around some of the lodges and Lake Brownwood State Park. The state park also has a fishing pier. Several pay piers are available by the dam. Several bait shops and marinas are located around the lake. There are jet ski rentals but no fishing boat rentals. There are primitive and improved camping sites, as well as hotels and motels. There is some ADA-accessible fishing access

Dam

- Lighted, multiple-lane public boat ramp with excellent courtesy dock and large parking capacity

Flatrock Park
- Located on FM 2632, just north of the FM 2632/3021 junction, on the south side of the lake
- Lighted, two-lane public boat ramp with parking capacity just under 50. Ramp is steep; use caution when the lake is five feet low or lower.

Mountain View
- Located at Mountain View Lodge off of FM 3021, a few miles east of State Highway 279
- One-lane concrete private boat ramp with large parking capacity

- Located off Park Road 15 several miles east of Texas Highway 279
- Well-lighted multiple-lane boat ramp with parking capacity for approximately 20 vehicles
