The majority of the shoreline is private property, but public access is allowed for a nominal fee. A number of camping and picnic sites are available. There is one fishing house. ADA-accessibility is limited. For more details, choose a point on the map or a name in the chart below.

Marina
- From Lubbock, go 5 miles east of Loop 289 on FM 835 (East 50th). Turn left to toll gate for Buffalo Springs Lake and follow Pony Express 1 mile to marina on right.
- Four-lane boat ramp with parking for 30

Water Park Ramp
- From Lubbock, go 5 miles east of Loop 289 on FM 835. Turn left to tollgate for Buffalo Springs Lake. Follow Pony Express Trail to bridge, cross bridge and turn left onto High Meadow Road. Boat ramp is on left 1/4 mile past bridge.
- Two-lane boat ramp with parking for 15

Old Gate Boat Ramp
- From Lubbock, go 5 miles east of Loop 289 on FM 835. Turn left to tollgate for Buffalo Springs Lake. After entering gate turn right on Pony Express. Turn right again onto Comanche Road. Ramp is near Camp C on north side of lake.
