This area is experiencing a drought which may affect fishing and boat ramp access. Before you go, check the current lake level or contact the controlling authority for current conditions.
Shoreline access to the reservoir is limited to a few areas. There are sites designated for primitive camping and picnicking on the south side of the reservoir beyond the marina. For details, choose a point on the map or a name in the chart below.

Mackenzie Boat Ramp
- Located 4 miles west of Silverton on Texas Hwy. 86/207. Turn north 6 miles on 207 to the Mackenzie entrance. Turn left through the gate. The ramp is the first right after you cross the dam.
- One-lane boat ramp with parking for 20
- Launch fee required
- Open all year

Marina Boat Ramp
- Located 4 miles west of Silverton on Texas Hwy. 86/207. Turn north 6 miles on 207 to the Mackenzie entrance. Turn left through the gate, cross the dam and continue to the marina. The ramp is just north of the marina.
- One-lane boat ramp with parking for 10
- Launch fee required
- Open all year
