Lake level can be very low and boat ramps unusable. Call Black Kettle Ranger District (580) 497-2143 for lake conditions.
McClellan Reservoir is located in the McClellan Creek National Grassland, administered by the US Department of Agriculture. The recreation area has 60 campsites including full hook-ups and 25 picnic sites. Restroom and camping facilities are ADA-accessible, but there are no ADA-accessible piers on the lake. Camping is also available at Palo Duro Canyon State Park, located west of the national grassland and south of Amarillo. For more details, choose a point on the map or a name in the chart below.

North Ramp
- Take IH 40 to FM 2477. Turn north and continue past dam. Entrance on south side of road.

- Take IH 40 to FM 2477, turn north. Turn left on lake road just south of dam and follow to ramp.
