The City of Gainesville operates two public boat ramps. A boat permit is required: contact Public Works Department, 104 West Hird Street, (940) 668-4540 from 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday. The permit is $35/year.

A: South Ramp
B: North Ramp

South Ramp

• Located on south side of the lake off FM 1201
• One-lane ramp, can handle boats up to 24 feet
• Permit required
• Open all year
• Operated by City of Gainesville (940) 668-4540

North Ramp

• Located on north side of the lake off FM 1201
• Two-lane ramp, can handle boats up to 24 feet
• Permit required
• Open all year
