Location: On Bitter Creek and Cottonwood
Creek in Nolan County, 45 miles west of Abilene and about 5
miles east of Sweetwater
Surface area: 630 acres
Maximum depth: 45 feet
Current Lake Level
Conservation Pool Elevation: 2,116 ft. msl
Fluctuation: Moderate, sometimes
prone to long periods with dropping water levels
Normal Clarity: Clear to stained
with visibility up to 4 feet

The reservoir filled in 2007. Sport and forage fish were restocked in fall 2007 and spring 2008. Although water levels in winter of 2013 are extremely low, fish populations remain high.
