Location: On Bitter Creek and Cottonwood Creek in Nolan County, 45 miles west of Abilene and about 5 miles east of Sweetwater
Surface area: 630 acres
Maximum depth: 45 feet
Impounded: 1930

Fluctuation: Moderate, sometimes prone to long periods with dropping water levels
Normal Clarity: Clear to stained with visibility up to 4 feet
