Frequently Asked Questions

Hunting

I own a ranch, which is located in more than one county. Do I have to purchase a separate hunting lease license for each county?

It depends! A "hunting lease" is the aggregate amount of land owned by a person, partnership, firm, or corporation that is leased for hunting in a county. If land that is owned is located partially in one county and partially in another county, then a second hunting lease license is not required, unless there is other leased land in the second county.
