May 15, 2026 - No wood or charcoal fires are allowed. You may cook with containerized fuel stoves (i.e. propane).

Construction Notice

March 26, 2026 - Electricity is shut off at the pavilion due to construction. Expect noise and occasional construction traffic on park roads.

Water Contaminant Notice

June 3, 2025 - The park uses water provided by the City of Big Spring. The city has issued a notice that its water exceeds "Maximum Containment Level" of trihalomethanes. Learn more about this contaminant on the city's website.
