Lake Bob Sandlin preserves a portion of the Post Oak Savannah.

Fall foliage reflecting in the park's lakeThe Piney Woods and Blackland Prairie ecoregions meet here in a transition area known as the Post Oak Savannah.  

Varieties of oak, hickory, pine, dogwood, redbud and maple produce spectacular fall color.

Popular fish include largemouth bass, catfish and crappie. TPWD stocks rainbow trout here in the winter.
