Trails Closed

Dec. 2, 2024 - The following trails are closed due to unsafe conditions caused by heavy rains:

• Rojo Grande
• Sunflower
• Cottonwood

Check back for updates.

Area Closures

The park is closed at the Old West Stables on the following dates:

• 10 p.m. Dec. 8 to 8 a.m. Dec. 12

The Rim Cabins, Visitor Center, scenic overlook, Mack Dick Pavilion, Trading Post, Glamping, Sagebrush Camp Loop, and Old West Stables will remain open. All trails will be closed except for the Pioneer Nature Trail Loop and the CCC/Triassic Trails.

Backcountry hiking and camping, the equestrian area, and sponsored youth group area will be closed on the following dates:

• Dec. 8 to Dec. 9
• Dec. 11 to Dec. 13
• Dec. 14 to Dec. 16
• Dec. 17 to Dec. 19

All trails except those in the backcountry area will remain open.

Only permitted hunters will be allowed on these dates. Contact the park for more information.
