Burn Ban

Oct. 20, 2025 - The park is under a burn ban. No ash-producing fires (wood or charcoal) are allowed. You may use containerized fuel stoves with a cut-off valve for cooking.

Area Closures

Nov. 21, 2025 - Some trails are closed due to wet conditions. Check at headquarters for trail updates.

Nov. 13, 2025 - The equestrian campsites, equestrian trail and backcountry are closed for trail maintenance.

Closures

Some areas of the park will be closed on the following dates for wildlife management activities:

• Areas south of the stables will be closed from 10 p.m. Dec. 2 to 7:30 a.m. Dec. 15. Only the CCC and Triassic trails will be open during this time.
• Backcountry camping, equestrian camping, horse trail and youth group camping will continue to be closed through 7:30 a.m. Dec. 19. All trails except backcountry trails will be open. 

Only hunters with drawn permits will be allowed in these areas at these times.
