Burn Ban

Aug. 13, 2025 - The park is under a burn ban. Ash-producing fires (wood or charcoal) are not allowed. You may use containerized fuel stoves for cooking.

Park Closures

The park will be closed on the following dates for wildlife management activities:

• 10 p.m. Nov. 22 to 8 a.m. Nov. 26
• 10 p.m. Dec. 14 to 8 a.m. Dec. 19
• 10 p.m. Jan. 4 to 8 a.m. Jan. 9, 2026

Only hunters with drawn permits will be allowed in during these periods.

Closures

Oct. 22, 2024 - The North Loop Equestrian Trail and Duck Pond are closed. 

Reservations Recommended

Guarantee entrance by making reservations for day passes or campsites before visiting on weekends, school breaks and holidays. Permits often sell out for these busy times.
