Burn Ban
Oct. 15, 2025 - The park is under a burn ban. No ash-producing fires (wood or charcoal) are allowed. You may use containerized fuel stoves for cooking.
Construction Notice
Oct. 1, 2025 - Construction is underway until July 2026. Due to an expected two-month closure for electric upgrades, reservations for the camping loop are closed from November 2025 to July 2026. Once the closure dates are scheduled, camping reservations will re-open.
River access, trails and bird blinds will remain open throughout this period.
Expect noise, construction traffic on the roadways, and possible road or lane closures.
Park Closures
The park will be closed for wildlife management activities on the following dates:
- 5 p.m. Oct. 20 to 2 p.m. Oct. 23
- 5 p.m. Nov. 3 to 2 p.m. Nov. 6
- 5 p.m. Nov. 23 to 2 p.m. Nov. 26
- 5 p.m. Dec. 1 to 2 p.m. Dec. 5
- 5 p.m. Dec. 15 to 2 p.m. Dec. 18
- 5 p.m. Dec. 26 to 2 p.m. Dec. 29
- 5 p.m. Feb. 2 to 2 p.m. Feb. 6, 2026
Only hunters with permits will be allowed in during these times.
