Water Communications Initiative

I. Discussion: Staff will discuss the status of an on-going comprehensive communications initiative on water. This integrated communications effort began in July 2002 with a special magazine issue devoted to water. Three special magazine issues on the topic have been published, with a fourth planned for July 2005. An hour-long documentary was produced and distributed in May 2003 and production on a second hour-long documentary began in the Fall of 2004 with an airdate scheduled for February 3, 2005. The initiative also includes Passport to Texas radio features, information on our website and media relations efforts.
