I.      Executive Summary: This item provides an introduction and overview of the new Texas Land Conservation Assistance Network (LandCAN) website located at www.texaslandcan.org.

II.     Discussion: The LandCAN mission is to promote the protection of wetlands, forests, endangered species’ habitats, and other wild spaces by empowering landowners to make smart, sustainable decisions about their land. The Texas website is one of 11 state networks created by LandCAN and contains over 3,900 different sources of information to help support Texas landowners in managing their property.
