Summer Night, Starry Skies
Partner with the San Antonio Astronomical Association to launch into the dark skies of Hill Country SNA. Hill Country summer nights and the stars are storied and legendary. Experience the Milky Way, constellations, and asterisms through the telescopes and staff of HCSNA and SAAA.

This event has cancelled due to weather. Cloud cover is forecast to obscure viewing. Come view the night sky of the Texas Hill Country. Engage with the San Antonio Astronomical Association volunteers and view the dark skies of Hill Country State Natural Area through telescopes, binocular and naked eye. The Milky Way, planets, constellations and asterisms are described and discussed with the very knowledgeable individuals that offer their expertise.

First Day Hike: Two(k)-Step to the Top
Travel the trail with Ranger Augie on a summit hike to the top of West Peak Overlook on New Years Day as we attempt to reach 2,000 steps plus. Tour the crown of this Hill Country summit for amazing scenic views
