Bird Facts
Birding generally appeals to our intellectual curiosity: Birds have amazing and varied behaviors. Some things birds do naturally beg the question why are they doing this. Anting, pecking at their image in a car mirror or a window, preening activities, courtship displays, aggressive displays, hurt-wing displays. You will often be asking yourself, “Why is this bird doing that?” Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has developed many materials to help you learn more about these interesting animals.
