This chart shows that Swallow-tailed Kites generally are sighted along the southeast Texas coast. They occur most often in Jefferson, Chambers, Newton, eastern Jasper, southeastern Hardin and Liberty, and extreme southeastern Harris counties.

- From 7:00-8:00 a.m., there were 23 sightings
- From 8:00-9:00 a.m., there were 109 sightings
- From 9:00-10:00 a.m., there were 171 sightings
- From 10:00-11:00 a.m., there were 123 sightings
- From 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., there were 171 sightings
- From 1:00-2:00 p.m., there were 89 sightings
- From 2:00-3:00 p.m., there were 55 sightings
- From 3:00-4:00 p.m., there were 62 sightings
- From 4:00-5:00 p.m., there were 91 sightings
- From 5:00-6:00 p.m., there were 60 sightings
- From 6:00-7:00 p.m., there were 55 sightings
- From 7:00-8:00 p.m., there were 10 sightings
