Burn Ban
Oct. 18, 2025 - The park is under a burn ban. No ash-producing fires (wood or charcoal) are allowed. You may cook with containerized fuel stoves.
Park Closures
The park will be closed on the following dates:
- 6 p.m. Dec. 9 to midnight Dec. 12
Only permitted hunters will be allowed on these dates.
The lake will be closed on the following dates:
- 10 p.m. Dec. 5 to 10 p.m. Dec. 7
- 10 p.m. Jan. 10 to 10 p.m. Jan. 26
- 10 p.m. Feb. 5 to 10 p.m. Feb. 8

Lake Abilene Closures
Oct. 20, 2025 - Due to the lake's low level:
- Boat ramps are closed;
- Kayak rentals are not available;
- Swimming and fishing are not allowed.
