Burn Ban
Nov. 18, 2025 - The park is under a burn ban. No wood fires are allowed. You may cook with charcoal and containerized fuel stoves.
Park Closures
The park will be closed on the following dates:
- 10 p.m. Dec. 8 to noon Dec. 11
Only permitted hunters will be allowed on these dates.
The lake will be closed on the following dates:
- 10 p.m. Dec. 5 to noon Dec. 11
- 10 p.m. Jan. 10 to 10 p.m. Jan. 26
- 10 p.m. Feb. 5 to 10 p.m. Feb. 8

Lake Abilene Closures
Oct. 20, 2025 - Due to the lake's low level:
- Boat ramps are closed;
- Kayak rentals are not available;
- Swimming and fishing are not allowed.
