Volunteer

Volunteers can work in many capacities. You can check in people at headquarters, work with our maintenance team to keep the park beautiful, or help provide educational programs.

If you are 16 years of age or older, responsible, and have a positive attitude, we’d love to talk to you about becoming a volunteer!

Friends of Abilene State Park

The Friends of Abilene State Park is a 501©3 nonprofit dedicated to supporting operations and events at the park. Although the park is a state-owned and operated facility, nonprofit support groups make a major difference. We are fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteers whose fundraising and service directly support special projects, events, equipment purchases and ongoing park improvements.
