Headquarters Closure

Aug. 17, 2026 - Headquarters will be closed from noon today through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19, for inventory. Please pay fees online before visiting.

Backcountry Trail Closures

Aug. 10, 2026 - Expect intermittent trail closures through Sept. 1 in the Backcountry area, due to construction. Check at headquarters for trail status when you visit.

Park Closures

The park will be closed on the following dates:

• 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 12 to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 16
• 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 to 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 6
• 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 30 to 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 4
• 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 18 to 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 21
• 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 25 to 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 29

Only permitted hunters will be allowed on these dates.

Visiting Enchanted Rock

• Please use water wisely when you visit. Bring your own drinking water or you can buy bottled water at headquarters.
• Advanced reservations for day passes and overnight stays are required on weekends, school breaks and holidays. While not required on regular weekdays, we usually reach capacity every day. Guarantee your entry by reserving passes online or calling the customer service center before you visit.
