Aug. 21, 2026 - The park is under a burn ban. No wood or charcoal fires allowed. You may use containerized fuel stoves (i.e. propane) for cooking only.

The park will be closed on the following dates:
12:30 p.m. on Oct. 12 to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 16
12:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 to 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 6
12:30 p.m. on Nov. 30 to 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 4
12:30 p.m. on Dec. 18 to 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 21
12:30 p.m. on Jan. 25 to 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 29
Only permitted hunters will be allowed on these dates.

Visiting Enchanted Rock
Please use water wisely when you visit. Bring your own drinking water or you can buy bottled water at headquarters.
Advanced reservations for day passes and overnight stays are required on weekends, school breaks and holidays. While not required on regular weekdays, we usually reach capacity every day. Guarantee your entry by reserving passes online or calling the customer service center before you visit.
