Lower Sunset Hike

Come explore the beautiful Chihuahua desert on a guided hike with one of our park rangers or volunteers. This is a relatively easy 3 mile hike and is excellent for families, beginner hikers, or geology and wildlife enthusiasts. We will meek at the Scenic Overlook in the Tom Mays Unit. Reservations required; to reserve your spot, call the office at (915) 566-6441.

Visit us at the park and learn about many of the creepy crawlies that call the park home; we are talking about centipedes, millipedes, snakes, bats, tarantulas and more!
