Oct. 14, 2026 - The park is under a burn ban. No ash producing fires including wood or charcoal. You may use containerized fuel stoves (i.e. propane) for cooking only.
Park Closures
Some hiking trails, some campsites in the west loop area, and the Primitive Campsites will be closed on the following dates:
5 p.m. on Dec. 3 to 2 p.m. on Dec. 6
5 p.m. on Dec. 14 to 2 p.m. on Dec. 17
5 p.m. on Jan. 4 to 2 p.m. on Jan. 7
5 p.m. on Jan. 11 to 2 p.m. on Jan. 14
5 p.m. on Jan. 18 to 2 p.m. on Jan. 21
Only permitted hunters will be allowed on these dates.

Reservations Recommended
We strongly encourage you tomake reservationsin advance for weekends, school breaks and holidays. Day passes and camping sell out every weekend and holiday.
