July 28, 2026 - The park is under a burn ban. No open, ash-producing fires allowed, including wood or charcoal. You may use containerized fuel stoves (i.e. propane), for cooking.
Park Closures
Some hiking trails, some campsites in the west loop area, and the Primitive Campsites will be closed on the following dates:
5 p.m. on Dec. 3 to 2 p.m. on Dec. 6
5 p.m. on Dec. 14 to 2 p.m. on Dec. 17
5 p.m. on Jan. 4 to 2 p.m. on Jan. 7
5 p.m. on Jan. 11 to 2 p.m. on Jan. 14
5 p.m. on Jan. 18 to 2 p.m. on Jan. 21
Only permitted hunters will be allowed on these dates.

Reservations Recommended
We strongly encourage you tomake reservationsin advance for weekends, school breaks and holidays. Day passes and camping sell out every weekend and holiday.
