Burn Ban
Sept. 16, 2025 - The park is under a burn ban. No ash-producing fires (including wood or charcoal) are allowed. You may use containerized fuel stoves for cooking.
Low Lake Level
The Lower Colorado River Authority will be lowing the lake level by about 8 feet from Oct. 1 through Nov. 28, 2025. Due to the low level, the boat ramp and paddle equipment rentals will be closed and water access from the fishing piers may be affected.
Closures
Primitive campsites and some trails will be closed for wildlife management activities on the following dates:
- 5 p.m. Nov. 6 to 2 p.m. Nov. 9
- 5 p.m. Nov. 17 to 2 p.m. Nov. 20
- 5 p.m. Dec. 1 to 2 p.m. Dec. 4
- 5 p.m. Dec. 8 to 2 p.m. Dec. 11
- 5 p.m. Dec. 15 to 2 p.m. Dec. 18
Only hunters with drawn permits will be allowed in these areas during these times.
Reservations Recommended
We strongly encourage you to make reservations in advance for weekends, school breaks and holidays. Day passes and camping sell out every weekend and holiday.
