Swimming Pool Info
Purchase pool tickets at headquarters on the day you visit. Tickets are not for sale online or in advance.
Pool Schedule
The pool is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. It is closed on Wednesdays.
Open Swim:
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (last entry at 6 p.m.)
- Saturdays and Sundays: Noon to 6:30 p.m. (last entry at 6 p.m.)
Lap Swim:
- Saturdays and Sundays: 11 a.m. to noon
Pool schedule may change depending on staffing. Please watch for updates or call the park at (512) 398-3479.
Important Information
- You must have a pool ticket to enter the pool facility, even if you are not planning to swim.
- A responsible adult aged 18 or older must supervise children under the age of 15.
- We do not issue weather-related refunds for pool tickets. Please check the forecast prior to your visit.
- Campers are not guaranteed access to the swimming pool. You will still need to buy a pool ticket at park headquarters on the day you want to swim.
- A chair lift is available at the pool. Please let park staff know if you need assistance. Note: Restrooms are not fully wheelchair accessible.
- We loan life jackets and pool noodles on a first-come, first-served basis
Daily Pool Fees
You must purchase pool tickets and park day passes to enter the pool area.
We recommend purchasing day passes or camping permits online, but you can only purchase pool tickets at park headquarters on the day of your visit. We stop selling tickets at 6 p.m.
- Children 5 and under: Free
- Children 6-12: $1
- 13 and older: $2

Pool Rules
- You must present pool tickets before entering the pool facility.
- A responsible adult must accompany children under the age of 15.
- Appropriate swimming attire is required (no jeans, cargo shorts, belts, socks, etc.).
- Swim diapers are required.
- No pets.
- No alcohol.
- No glass containers.
- No running.
- No littering.
- No large floats (lifeguard has final approval).
- No hanging on the buoy line.
- No horseplay or roughhousing.
- No breath-holding games.
- Food and coolers are allowed in the grass area only, not on the pool deck or in the pool.
- You may only dive in the deep end of pool.
- Stay off the block in the baby pool.
Lap Swim
- Only two people per lane
- No playing in lap lanes
- No hanging on lap lines
Violation of any pool rule may result in your removal from the pool facility or citation.
Pool FAQs
- Do I need reservations?
- The park may reach capacity. Guarantee entry by purchasing day passes online before you drive to the park. You must purchase pool tickets at headquarters on the day of your visit. Reservations are not available for pool tickets.
- What happens if there is rain or thunder?
- During light rain, you may continue swimming. However, if there is heavy rain, thunder or lightning, you must exit the pool immediately. The safety break will end 30 minutes after lifeguards observe the last thunder or lightning.
- Can I bring alcohol?
- Consumption or display of alcohol is not allowed in the pool or day-use areas.
- Can I have a party at the pool?
- Yes, you may host parties at the pool, however, the pool will remain open to all other guests. Party guests will still need to purchase a day pass and pool ticket, and all pool rules apply. Please call the park office (512-398-3479) if you have questions or to let us know about your event ahead of time.
- What is the re-entry policy?
- Pool tickets and day passes are good for the whole day. You may come and go as you please.
- Will the pool be open for the entire scheduled time?
- Lifeguards may take safety breaks from 3-3:20 p.m. During a safety break, all swimmers must leave the pool.
- Can I bring a grill to the pool?
- You may grill in the day-use picnic area, but not in the pool area.
- How do we sign up for swimming lessons?
- Lockhart ISD provides summer swimming lessons. Find more info by checking the Community Education section on the Lockhart ISD website.
- Are pets allowed in the pool area?
- Pets are not allowed in the pool area, but they are welcome in other day-use areas. Pets must always be on a leash and you may not leave them unattended anywhere in the park.
- Can I bring a canopy?
- Yes, shade canopies and lawn chairs are allowed in the pool area.
- What size of life jackets are available?
- We loan U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets in sizes ranging from Infant (<50lbs) to Adult Oversize (>90lbs).
