June 17, 2026 - Expect standing water throughout the park due to recent rainfall.
May 21, 2026 - The Copperhead and Brazos Bottom trails are closed due to weather.
Special Event Notice
The park is hosting a Halloween event on Oct. 10. Halloween decorations will be set up in the day-use area and along portions of the Pileated and Nature trails throughout October. The primitive group camp, primitive campsites, and Bullinger Lodge and Dining Hall will be closed. Expect heavier traffic for the event.
