I.       Executive Summary:  Staff will brief the Commission and seek adoption of the increase in salary for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Executive Director as authorized by the 84th Texas Legislature (2015).

II.     Recommendation:  Staff recommends the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission adopt the following motion:

“The Commission approves by Resolution as shown in Exhibit A, the increase in salary for the Texas Parksand Wildlife Department Executive Director.”

Executive Director Compensation

In accordance with Article VI Texas Parks and Wildlife, Schedule of Exempt Positions and with Article IX, section 3.04(d) of H.B. 1, Acts of the 84th Texas Legislature, 2015, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission approves an action to increase the salary of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Executive Director from $180,000 to $195,749 annually, to be effective September 1, 2015.
