Designated camping areas are between 3.5 and 10 miles from the parking area on the Lake Somerville Trailway. Access the sites on foot, bike or horse. Potable water is not available. No open fires are allowed; but you can use containerized fuel stoves for cooking.

Group RV Area with Group Recreation Hall (Birch Creek Unit)

Contact the park for possible group rates. A $300 peak rate applies to: 1) Friday and Saturday nights and 2) Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights for Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day. Non-peak rates apply Sunday through Thursday except on the designated three-day weekends. This area is ideal for groups who want to camp together. Besides campsites, it has a central dining hall, a trailer dump station, a view of the lakeshore and access to Lake Somerville. The dining hall has heat and air conditioning, restrooms (no showers), tables and chairs for 40, a full kitchen (sink, stove, oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave - cooking utensils not included), fireplace, an outdoor grill, fire ring, and covered picnic tables. Hall rental is overnight, with check-in at 2 p.m. and check-out at 2 p.m. the following day. Pets, sleeping and smoking are not permitted inside the dining hall.
