Accessibility Information
Both the upper and lower bat viewing areas have accessibility features.
The upper viewing area has dedicated ADA parking spots at the trail entrance. The very short trail to this area is hard-packed caliche. A ramp with handrails leads to the upper viewing deck. The left side of the viewing deck does not have a railing, but has a curb to stop those on wheels from going over the edge.
A hard-packed caliche trail leads from the upper viewing area to wheelchair friendly picnic tables with extended tables and concrete pads.
The lower viewing area has a separate access gate and one designated parking spot that is available on a first-come, first-served basis. From this parking spot, the accessible viewing area is easily reached on foot or by wheelchair.
If the parking spot is occupied, you will need to be dropped off at the gate. Your driver can then park in the other parking areas.
An accessible portable toilet is located in the overflow parking lot, which also has designated ADA parking spaces.
