World Birding Center Birding Tours
All ages and skill-levels are welcome on this two-hour tour of the park, finding as many species of birds as possible, especially the 30 that are termed Valley Specialties.
Red-crowned Parrot Survey
Make a scientific contribution by joining the quarterly count of these wild officially-endangered birds, with less than 2,000 wild birds remaining!

National Moth Night

Celebrate and save our tiny heroes! Come and see how! Bring your friends and family of all ages, in costume if you like, to join what has been 1,000 to 2,000 others for our annual Fall Festival to learn a little science and perhaps to be frightened just the right amount!
Texas Pollinator BioBlitz
October 4 through October 27, for all ages and experience levels, we'll post photos of bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, moths, beetles and other pollinators we find on our Butterfly Walks on Instagram, Facebook and iNaturalist. Send us some of your favorites, and we'll publish them on our Facebook page! john.yochum@tpwd.texas.gov . If you're free, attend our Friday Butterfly-Dragonfly Tours from 10:30am to noon. We can furnish binoculars! Bring your cameras if you have them! You will make memorable photos and experiences!
